Irish Music for Banjo

This year I decided to take up the 5 string banjo. I have found a good way to practise is to take an Irish folk tune and translate it into a banjo piece. There are certain restrictions/parameters to the banjo that you need to attend to in order for a piece to flow, and pairing this with the timeless beauty of these old tunes, trying to find these arrangements is a bit like scraping away to uncover something that was always there. Hark at me, I am but a humble beginner but this is getting me through this awful lockdown and helping me keep my 'doomscrolling' to a minimum. So here is 'The Bonny Boy'.
